Purpose of Our Drama SoWs at AS & A2
Each Scheme of Work provides a practical exploration of the text as play in performance, in order to apply
students’ creative ideas in a cogent and practical manner, as well as providing them with a thorough
understanding of the themes, issues and social/historical background of the play in question.
Exam Board Requirements
Our AS and A Level Drama SoWs have been created and tested by teachers in the profession, with excellent results to
date. The Schemes of Work have been updated according to the new specifications. Although all Schemes of Work have
been mapped to a particular specification, they are all recommended to teachers of any specification that
requires a comprehensive knowledge and a practical understanding of the text.
