The Blood Wedding SoW includes:
- Practical tasks to encourage an informed and skilled staging of the play
- Analytical frames and materials to stimulate a thorough analysis of scenes and
characters
- Comprehensive hand-outs to develop students’ essay writing skills as well as
their understanding of the play and its themes
- Detailed hand-outs on the social and historical context of the play
- Full provision for SEN and Gifted and/or Talented students
The Blood Wedding (Lorca) Scheme of Work focuses on the play in performance, in addition to analysis of the theatrical text, and
emphasis is placed on the play’s social and cultural context, genre and style. The Scheme of Work is aimed at A2
students of all examination boards and is included in the AQA New Specification list for the Unit 3 written paper.
